Ayurvedic Doctor & Naturopath
Kia ora and Namaste, I am Aseem. My journey into Ayurveda began through a personal family experience, when my mother was suffering from arthritis. That experience led me to study Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery and set me on an unexpected but deeply rewarding path from son, to student, to Ayurvedic doctor and teacher.
After graduating, I spent seven years working with the Ministry of Health in India as an Ayurvedic Medical Officer. That role strengthened my passion for traditional, complementary, and alternative medicine. Moving to New Zealand gave me the opportunity to share Ayurvedic and natural medicine within the community and support people through personalised care.
My areas of interest include allergic conditions, chronic diseases, and Ayurvedic detoxification therapies known as Panchakarma. I am currently practicing Ayurvedic medicine and Naturopathy in New Plymouth and teaching future practitioners at the Naturopathic College of New Zealand.
I am also a certified Laughter Yoga teacher and run Laughter Yoga sessions in New Plymouth for different communities. I am enrolled with Victoria University of Wellington for a Master's in Professional Practice and intend to research the role of herbal medicines in the near future.
Top tip: Nature is the best healer, you just need to follow it.
Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, Diploma in Naturopathy and Yoga, Fellowship in Orthopaedic Rehabilitation, Certificate in Panchakarma, Certificate in Ksharsutra, Certificate in Homeobotanicals.

Kia ora and Namaste, I am Raman. My journey began more than 13 years ago when I completed my qualification in Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery. I always dreamed of becoming a health practitioner so I could understand how the human body works, how imbalances can lead to different health conditions, and how natural medicine can help restore wellbeing.
After extensive training in women's and children's health in an integrative setting in India, I came to New Zealand to continue learning and completed a Post-graduate Diploma in Health Sciences. My particular areas of interest are women's health, including infertility, hormonal imbalances, pregnancy, post-childbirth care, pre and post-menopausal issues, and children's health.
I am currently practicing Ayurvedic medicine and Naturopathy in New Plymouth and teaching at the Naturopathic College of New Zealand. I enjoy helping people better understand their own bodies so they can make informed, realistic, and supportive choices for long term health.
Top tip: The more you understand your body, the more health and wellbeing you will achieve.
